There are many new organizations focusing contract business in the ares of bioanalysis, medicinal chemistry, insilico-sreening, pharmacology and toxicology. Global pharmaceutical companies are also increasingly outsourcing early-stage drug discovery to India, as it provides a reduced research cost with good infrastruture and has a large pool of english speaking professionals.
Leading Indian CROs include, Matrix, Chembiotech, Jublient, Suven life sciences and Syngene. While other pharmaceuticals conducing their own drug discovery as well as offering contract services are Dr. reddy’s lab, Advinus Theraputics, Torrent Pharma and Nicholas Piramal.
Contract manufacturing is another segment of CRAMS, where indian organizations are providing world class standards in munufacturing with less cost . A large number of manufacturing facilities approved by US FDA, Australian-TGA, UKMCA, and EMEA are advantageous for the growth in this section . Leading players in contract manufacturing are Divi's Laboratories , Dishman Pharmaceuticals, Shasun Chemicals & Drugs etc.

Overall india has this booming area to enjoy it advantages over other countries, however india could face some competition from China Korea and Eastern Europe.
